What it is

Same science

Smarter approach.

Older CO₂ resurfacing worked, but it put you out of commission for a week or more. Pixel Peel delivers the same technology in lighter, precise passes — so you get the collagen response without disappearing from your life.

And when your skin needs more than surface work, the same platform can deliver a second, deeper pass in the same session.

The Pixel Peel

CO₂ — the surface

A fractionated CO₂ beam creates microscopic channels in the outermost layer of skin. Your body reads those channels as something to repair and pushes fresh, evenly-toned skin up to replace what was treated. This is what handles texture, sun damage, and the look of pores.

Tone · texture · surface damage

Optional add-on

1570nm — going deeper

For some patients we add a near-infrared pass that travels past the surface and delivers heat into the deeper dermis, where collagen and elastin live. It never breaks the skin — it just tells the tissue underneath to start rebuilding. Whether you need it is a conversation, not a default.

Collagen · crepiness · structure

A Pixel Peel is the CO₂ pass. Adding the 1570nm is an option we’ll talk through at your consultation — it depends on what your skin actually needs, not on a menu.

Big results

Less downtime.

Stimulates collagen

The deeper wavelength triggers new collagen production in the dermis — the structural change everything else depends on.

Softens fine lines & wrinkles

Surface resurfacing plus collagen rebuilding, working the same lines from two directions.

Refines the look of pores

As collagen tightens the tissue around each opening, they read as noticeably smaller.

Improves texture & tone

Rough patches smooth out and overall tone evens as the surface layer turns over.

Fades sun damage

Years of accumulated pigment and sun spots lift and clear with each pass.

Improves crepey skin

Thin, papery skin gains back density as new collagen fills in underneath it.

Softens acne scarring

Fractionated resurfacing breaks up scar tissue while collagen fills the depressions from below.

Builds over time

Each session stacks on the last. The research supports it — a series outperforms one aggressive treatment.

What to expect

The honest timeline

What actually happens, start to finish. No surprises on treatment day.

Before you book
Consultation

We look at your skin, your history, and what you’re actually trying to fix. Not everyone is a candidate, and not everyone needs the same plan. We’ll talk through comfort options here, so nothing on treatment day is a surprise.

Treatment day
20 minutes of treatment. 60 if we numb.

Most people don’t need numbing — the treatment itself takes about twenty minutes. If you’d rather be numbed, plan on sixty minutes start to finish so the topical has twenty minutes to work.

The first hour
Warm, then tight

You’ll feel heat for about an hour afterward. Once that fades it turns into a tight, dry feeling — which is exactly why everything in your aftercare is about keeping the skin clean and moist.

The next morning
Some swelling, especially around the eyes

Sleep on a clean pillowcase. You may wake up puffy — that’s normal, and it settles as you get up and move around during the day.

Days 1–4
Redness, dryness, and a sandpaper texture

Those tiny rough grains are called MENDs — microscopic epidermal necrotic debris. It’s the treated tissue working its way to the surface so new skin can replace it. Do not exfoliate, scrub, or pick. Let them come up and fall away on their own.

Days 3–4
Back to makeup

Most people are comfortable in makeup by day three or four. You won’t have the heavy sloughing or swelling that comes with more aggressive resurfacing.

Week 2
Surface results show up

Tone is more even, texture is smoother, pores look refined. This is the part people notice first.

Months 2–6
Collagen results show up

The deeper work takes longer to surface. Crepiness and overall skin quality keep improving for months after your last treatment — which is why a series outperforms a single session every time.

Two ways in

Real change

Starts now.

A single Pixel Peel is $800. Because results build across a series, we price it two ways — and both cost less per treatment than paying one at a time. They’re built for two different goals.

Why the membership costs less per treatment: you’re committing to a full year, so we can price it that way. Why the package exists at all: four treatments, timed to land right before Christmas, so you walk into the holidays already seeing the change.

Before you ask

The real questions

Does it hurt?

Most patients find it tolerable without numbing — what you feel is heat rather than sharp pain. If you’d prefer, we can numb you in office for twenty minutes before we start, and we have other comfort options we’ll go over at your consultation. Afterward you’ll feel warm for about an hour, then it settles into a tight, dry, sunburned feeling.

How much downtime, honestly?

Plan on three to five days of redness, dryness, and a sandpaper texture. You will not have the heavy sloughing or dramatic swelling that comes with aggressive resurfacing. Most people are back in makeup by day three or four. If you have something on the calendar, give yourself two weeks and we’ll schedule around it.

Why do I need a series? Can’t I just do one?

You can, and you’ll see something. But the whole design of this treatment is lighter passes done repeatedly rather than one aggressive session with two weeks of recovery. Collagen builds cumulatively, and the research supports it — a series of lighter treatments outperforms a single aggressive one. Each session stacks on the last.

Am I a candidate?

Most skin types are, but not everyone. Active infection, certain medications, recent isotretinoin use, a history of keloid scarring, pregnancy, and some skin conditions all change the answer. Deeper skin tones need modified settings, not a different answer. That’s what the consultation is for — we’ll tell you honestly either way.

What do I have to do afterward?

Keep it clean, keep it moist, and stay out of the sun. Sleep on a fresh pillowcase. Do not exfoliate, scrub, or pick at the sandpaper texture — that tissue needs to come up and release on its own. We send you home with a written aftercare plan and the products to follow it. Sunscreen is non-negotiable — you just invested in new skin, and unprotected sun exposure undoes it faster than anything else.

Can I combine it with other treatments?

Often, yes — and frequently we recommend it. Pixel Peel pairs well with injectables, and we can sequence them so neither compromises the other. Bring your full list to the consult.
